About the
Venezuelan American Association of the U.S.
The Venezuelan American Association (VAAUS), is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1936 to promote investment, commerce and cultural exchange between the United States and Venezuela. VAAUS was the first chamber established in the U.S. for Venezuela, and this dynamic organization has hosted hundreds of programs over the years.
We have no formal connections with any governments and do not receive any government funding.
Today, we believe that due to the magnitude of the economic, social and political catastrophe that has befallen the country, it is the mission of our chamber to become a platform to provide a forum for a variety of opinions, open dialogue and awareness of the most current issues affecting Venezuela through our programs and events. We are unwavering in our support for democracy--for basic Western political, economic, and humanitarian principles.
